Light trailed upstairs on returning home with his father – almost wishing that he had Ryuk gliding after him, sniggering, because perhaps then he wouldn’t feel so… desolate.

Poison Apple had such an effect on me, after L died, I always cried whenever there was a flashback or his name was mentioned. And OMG, you should have seen me when he got resurrected, my ENTIRE face was wet with tears DX
Especially on the last chapter...
My favorite quote had to either be, "I love you" and "I believe you"
Or "L, do you know...How much I've missed you?" ;_;

And yes, only the emotionalheartbreak!Raito probably had the biggest effect, especially after he brought L back to life with the heart thing and the ENDING. OH GOD THE ENDING. I wish the canon ended like that...even without the blatant LxLightness...JUST GIVE THE BOIZ A HAPPY ENDING.
I forget most of 'em, but I think I 'awwed' when Light asked how he was to prove his love and L was like 'the truth will always make itself apparent in the end' and OMG SO TRUE.
